Double Daisy Chain Bracelet

See our related blog post: DIY Daisy chain stitch - jewellery with seed bead flowers.

We have used the following materials to make this bracelet:

+ beading needle

First, you provide the thread with a stopper bead. Thread a bead (in our example a blue one) and sew through the bead from the bottom up.

Tighten the thread. The thread end should be approx. 10cm long. (You will remove the stopper bead again once the sewing work is done.)

Now, you string a golden and a green bead.

Sew back through the golden bead.

Tighten the thread. Now you are going to make the first part of the bracelet ... the green zig-zag pattern.

String 5 green beads, 1 golden bead and 1 green bead.

Sew back through the golden bead.

Tighten the thread.

Before you continue sewing the row of green beads, you fasten a closed jumpring to it.

Sew back through 3 green beads.

String a closed jumpring and continue sewing through the last 4 beads in the row.

Then you sew back through the entire row of beads.

Next, you sew the golden bead.

String 5 green beads, 1 golden bead and 1 green bead.

Sew back through the golden bead.

Tighten the thread.

String again 5 green beads, 1 golden bead and a green bead ... and sew back through the golden bead.

Tighten the thread. Continue sewing the zig-zag pattern with green beads in this way.

Continue sewing the pattern until the bracelet has reached the desired length. Our example bracelet has got 30 points and a length of 15cm without the clasp.

Now you fasten another closed jumpring to the bracelet and then you add the flowers.

Sew back through 3 beads.

String a closed jumpring and continue sewing through the last 4 beads in the row.

Turn your work ... and sew through the golden bead and 4 green beads so that the needle comes out the same spot as shown in the picture.

Now you add the flowers to the bracelet. Turn your work ... now you are going to sew from left to right. String 5 beads as shown in the picture.

Sew back through the first yellow bead.

Tighten the thread ... so that the beads sit tightly.

String 3 yellow beads ... and sew back through the yellow bead as shown in the picture.

Tighten the thread ... string 1 green bead and sew back through the 3 beads in the middle of the next row.

Tighten the thread ... now the first flower is fastened to the bracelet.

Turn the bracelet ... assemble the next flower in the same way. String 5 beads ...

... sew back through the first yellow bead.

Tighten the thread.

String 3 yellow beads ... and sew back through 1 yellow bead.

String 1 green bead ... sew through the 3 beads in the middle of the next row.

Tighten the thread ....

Continue adding flowers to the bracelet all the way down.

Once the last flower is assembled and fastened, you sew up the thread. You sew through 4 green beads in the last row...

... and keep sewing through the 5 green beads in the second last row.

Continue like this, sewing 6-7 times through the bracelet.

Remove the stopper bead and sew up the other end of the thread in the same way.

Fasten the lobster claw clasp to one end of the bracelet with an open jumpring and attach the chain to the other end of the bracelet with another open jumpring.

Double Daisy Chain Earrings with Blue Teardrop

We used the following materials to make these earrings:

+ beading needle

For the earring, you sew the beads together in the same way as for the bracelet....and incorporate a closed jumpring into the first row of beads, exactly as described above in the instructions for the bracelet. The earring has a zig-zag pattern with 7 points.

String 6 beads ... 1 teardrop ... 2 beads.

Sew back through 3 beads as shown in the picture so that they form a circle.

Tighten the thread.

String 5 beads.

Sew back through 1 bead as shown in the picture.

Tighten the thread.

Turn your work. String 3 beads and sew back through 1 bead.

String 1 bead and sew through the 3 beads in the middle of the next row. Continue like this, adding all in all 6 flowers to the earring. Finally, you sew up the two thread ends. (You find more detailed instructions in our first example.)

You can use a jumpring with a diameter of 3mm to connect the daisy chain pendant to the earwire or you insert the closed ring directly into the loop of the earwire.
